The Company
John Horgan & Son has established itself as the premier mechanical services contractor in the Munster area, and in the top league of national contractors. Founded in 1911 by John Horgan, a former Lord Mayor of Cork and a one time TD, it has been in uninterrupted business since that time. In the 1940s, the business was conducted by William Horgan a son of the founder, and he brought it successfully through very tough economic times. In the late 1970s, Noel Horgan a chartered engineer and UCC graduate, took over the running of the business, and does so to this day.
Management Structure and Resources
The company has built up a strong workforce. The board of the company includes commercial and financial expertise. Experienced managers run the various contracts. The firm’s reputation is synonymous with high quality and a reputation to complete within programme and within budget. The company always maintains adequate resources to meet its financial commitments.
